Bilbo Baggins, the uncle of Frodo Baggins, is considered a living legend of the Shire. Bilbo spends the first century of his life contemplatively until he becomes an adventurer, master thief and ring finder. Together with Gandalf, Thorin Oakenshield and the other adventurers, he sets out to retrieve the treasure guarded by the dragon Smaug. He bequeathed the ring he had found during his memorable journey to Frodo on his 111th birthday.
Bilbo Baggins also came into possession of the sword Sting during his journey when he was on his way to the Erebor with Gandalf and the thirteen dwarves. They found it in a troll cave. It was forged in the First Age in Gondolin. Due to the Elvish forging arts, the sword began to shimmer blue when orcs were nearby.
In the War of the Ring Bilbo handed over the sword Sting to his nephew Frodo in Rivendell. On the arduous journey to Mordor the sword Frodo often served well. After Frodo was stunned by the spider Shelob, Sam took the sword and contributed much to the success of the adventure. Later Frodo finally handed the sword over to Sam.
The elaborately crafted replica of the sword, which is more of a knife in length, is an authentic replica of the original. The short stainless steel blade and the massive metal handles are decorated in detail. It comes with a high-quality wall display with graphic motifs and a certificate of authenticity.
